Trey Gregory is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of HR Group, a diversified, majority Native-owned holding company generating approximately $75 million in annual revenue, operating eleven businesses and employing more than 400 people across North and South America and beyond. An enrolled citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Trey has built HR Group into a multi-industry platform — spanning asset integrity, commercial construction, synthetic turf, healthcare, electrical, and GIS and drone services — grounded in technical excellence, operational discipline, and a builder’s determination shaped by his own path.That path began far from the executive office. Trey started his career in healthcare with the most humble of beginnings — as a delivery driver — and, over the course of fifteen years, advanced through every level of the industry through sustained effort and a refusal to stop learning. He earned his credential as a National Board Certified Respiratory Therapist, then moved into leadership as Director of Operations, followed by Director of Marketing, and ultimately became an owner and CEO — building and operating a group of healthcare businesses spanning medical equipment, pharmacy, and wound care clinics. Rising from entry-level to multi-company ownership within a single industry gave Trey something few executives possess: a firsthand understanding of a business at every level, from the loading dock to the boardroom. It is an operating philosophy he has carried into everything he has built since — know the work, respect the people who do it, and lead from genuine understanding rather than title alone.Trey next entered the corrosion engineering and asset integrity industry, the discipline responsible for protecting the integrity of the midstream energy infrastructure that moves the nation’s resources safely. Characteristically, he committed immediately to mastering the field at its highest level. He pursued his CP Level 1 certification through NACE International and, over twelve years of dedicated practice, completed the most advanced technical certification the industry offers, earning the designation of NACE CP Level 4 Cathodic Protection Specialist — the pinnacle credential in the discipline and one held by only a select few. That achievement reflects the hallmark of Trey’s career: he does not simply enter an industry, he masters it.While building his technical expertise, Trey was also building companies. He founded Highridge Corrosion with just two employees and, over twelve years, grew it into a $25 million enterprise — a testament to his ability to pair deep technical credibility with sound business leadership. Recognizing opportunity across sectors, he drew on his instincts as a serial entrepreneur to acquire and launch additional companies both within and beyond the asset integrity industry, assembling the diversified platform that would become HR Group.Today, Trey leads all eleven HR Group companies, spanning asset integrity, commercial construction, synthetic turf, healthcare, electrical services, and GIS with drone technology. He brings extensive hands-on experience across a broad range of trades and industries, and an operational and financial mindset that unifies the platform and drives its growth.
