Tanner Gregory
Vice President of Asset Management
Tanner Gregory serves as Vice President of Asset Management for The HR Group, where he oversees the performance of the company’s operating subsidiaries, including their financial health, operational discipline, compliance, and strategic direction. His assets are the businesses themselves. Working directly with subsidiary leadership, Tanner holds each business unit to a consistent standard of execution and turns operating data into clear, actionable decisions.Tanner has spent seven years working across every department in the organization. During that time, he has been accountable for operations, accounting and financial reporting, strategy and pricing, compliance, human resources, business development, and field and project execution. That experience gives him a practical understanding of how the work gets done, who is responsible for it, what it costs, and where the numbers come from.At The HR Group, Tanner leads asset performance reviews, cost-to-serve and rate-card analysis, process standardization, and the reporting infrastructure used across the portfolio. Instead of relying solely on lagging reports, he builds the tools leadership needs to see what is happening in real time. These include command centers, customer-hosted platforms, internal systems, dashboards, and analytics that provide visibility into job costing, billing coverage, resource allocation, and dependency risk across subsidiaries. His work has identified margin leakage and recovery opportunities measured in six figures.Tanner holds a Cathodic Protection Technician (CP2) certification through NACE/AMPP. He is credentialed to the same technical standard as the crews performing the work, giving him firsthand knowledge of the field rather than an executive’s view from a distance. He brings that same expectation of practical, verifiable competence to every part of the business. Today, Tanner advises subsidiary leadership on removing bottlenecks, protecting margins, and building the systems needed for the portfolio to scale.
