Vice President of Business Development & Marketing, HR Group LLCGavin LaValley spent nine years as a professional baseball player before bringing that same standard into business. Professional athletics is an environment where performance is measured every day and in public, where the people around you determine how far you go, and where the gap between a long career and a short one usually comes down to preparation. He also coached travel softball, developing players who went on to earn scholarships at Power 4 and Power 5 programs, and completed a leadership program at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Developing people has been the constant.Gavin joined Highridge Corrosion Services as a business development representative in 2023, stepped into a sales management role, and now serves as Vice President of Business Development & Marketing for HR Group. He leads a business development team of more than ten representatives working across HRG's portfolio of operating subsidiaries and sets the sales direction, market strategy, and growth priorities for the organization. His work spans identifying new markets, guiding subsidiaries toward the opportunities best suited to their strengths, and overseeing marketing and events that support the sales effort. Much of his focus has gone toward building the structure and consistency that allow a business of HRG's size to operate with one clear standard across every subsidiary.Gavin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and continues to build the business development function across HRG's portfolio of companies.
