Matt Archer is an accomplished technical services executive with 24 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, the majority spent on the owner/operator side of the business. His career reflects a rare progression from field-level roles to executive technical leadership, blending hands-on execution with engineering oversight, regulatory compliance, capital planning, and operational accountability.Mr. Archer began his career as an intern and progressed through increasing levels of responsibility to division-level management, holding positions with El Paso Natural Gas, Colorado Interstate Gas (CIG), Kinder Morgan, Magellan Midstream, and ONEOK. This progression across major owner/operator organizations gave him direct, ground-level exposure to the full range of challenges facing pipeline and midstream assets.Over the course of his career, Mr. Archer has been directly involved with pipelines, above-ground storage tanks, terminals, refineries, and marine and dock facilities. In these roles, he has led corrosion programs, evaluated risk, and resolved complex integrity challenges, providing him with a broad perspective on asset stewardship across a wide range of critical infrastructure.Currently serving as Vice President of Technical Services for The HR Group, Mr. Archer provides executive technical leadership across the organization's operating companies, guiding technical strategy, policy, and safety programs to ensure consistent, field-validated performance across a diverse portfolio of pipeline integrity and corrosion protection businesses.Mr. Archer holds AMPP CP 3 (Cathodic Protection Specialist), AMPP CIP Level II, AMPP Internal Corrosion Technologist, and AMPP Senior Corrosion Technologist certifications, reflecting advanced qualifications across cathodic protection, coatings, and corrosion management disciplines.Drawing upon 24 years of industry experience, Mr. Archer is recognized for combining deep technical expertise with practical operational insight, delivering corrosion and integrity solutions that extend beyond compliance—grounded in industry standards, validated by field data, and shaped by real-world operational realities.
